RTE Weather Photo

Well done to Sean O Brein, he was pleasantly surprised to see his submission for the winter competition on the 1.00pm forecast.  It will have been on all forecasts on RTE1 and RTE2 today, and will be used at random intervals for next 3 months!  It's a snow scene showing an old house under Knockanaffrin.  This is his fourth such success in two years!

SACC Interclub Compeition

Well done to the team of workers who worked tirelessly over the last few weeks to pick out, prepair and hang the images for the interclub competition in Dungarvan. So how did we do you ask, well considering it was our first time entering such a competition not to bad. Carrick came 6th overall in the colour section and 7th overall in the Mono section, however by not entering the slide section it meant that our overall position was 8th out of the 11 entrants. So again well done to everyone involved.
Well done to Mallow CC who took the overall prize and also to Noel Browne of Waterford Camera Club who had the Best Colour Print with his print "Fenor Bog" to Daniel Foley, of Cork Camera Group with the Best Monochrome Print, and John Hooton, of Mallow Camera Club with the Best Slide "The Arch".
Also well done and thanks to Dungarvan Camera Club for hosting the event.
