Site of the Week

Hi All,
This is a picture blog site I have been in for years.
It is much smaller than flickr but nice friendly people.
If you think it is worthwhile pass it to the members.
It is free and you can upload 5 images a day or if you go PRO you can upload 200 a day.
There is a section in the forum for photo tips  http://forum.fotothing.com/board/3/
I have several accounts there:

Congrats to Brenda

Well done to Brenda  who won 2nd place in the Digital competition with this image, receiving an SACC (Southern Association of Camera Clubs) Silver medal!!! 61 entries in Comp. with entrants from Dublin to Mallow and Thurles to Wexford.
. . . and then won 3rd prize (bronze medal) with the lady and the mosque picture!
. . . but no medal for Anraí, patient model for many of these images. He did, however, insist on wearing the silver medal around his neck after the results were announced. And, like Andy Warhol said, he had his 15 minutes of fame!
A GREAT day for Brenda, the club, and furthermore . . .
Paddy Tubritt, member of Waterford Camera club and regular visitor to Carrick Camera Club, won 1st prize, receiving the Neansaí O'Brien Memorial Trophy + a gold medal.
Adjudicator, John Crowley, who gave some impressive comments before results were announced, lectures in Graphic Design and Photography at the Tipperary Institute, Thurles.
My lips are parched at this stage for a drop of Champers!!! Even a cuppa and a Marietta biscuit would do!
Brenda, let's see a close up of the medals on Flickr ASAP!
Finally, Congrats to Enniscorthy Camera Club who hosted the competition (Creative Digital Print Competition) in this it's 7th year. Congrats also to many others, but especially Eddie Foyle of Clonmel - SACC Sec.,and John Hogan of Mallow - Chairman of the SACC, who done much behind the scenes.

Worlds Largest Photography Project Ever

Hi there,

We have had a few photographers and clubs suggest I contact other photography clubs and professionals in your country also and see if you could assist us in inviting  your friends, your club members or readers to be part of the Largest Photography Project ever to be undertaken
Project "Once Click One Pic"
Have a look at www.heapfo.com/oneclickonepic.htm  for all the details.  BE PART OF SOMETHING HUGE. Don't forget to let others know about the project too.  Share this information on Facebook, Youtube, Gmail, MySpace and all other networks.  Anyone that can shoot across a boarder into a neighbouring country (only if its free for you to do so) would be helpful also.  This way we can get even more coverage. Also if you have a logo please send it to us so we can add you to our "Heapformation" page as a supporter of the project. If you are a professional photographer or club and wish us to put your logo up on our site please send it to us with your link.  Would love to promote you as well. One last thing to which is really cool.  I have received confirmation from SPOT Imaging Services who own 3 satellites – SPOT 2, SPOT 4 and SPOT 5 and have graciously offered to take a photo from up there for us.
We are also looking for people to help me make this project a success, so if your interested please let me know. Its free to be part of this exciting project.
Hope your able to join the project.
Thanks
