Dear Francis Quigley

My name is Tina Keating and I am the Geologist with the Copper Coast Geopark. Every year we run a series of events for European Geopark Week and this year  we were hoping to include an Exhibition of works (Paintings and Photographs) depicting landscapes of the Copper Coast Area.-including the Comeragh Mountains.  

I am attaching a poster and leaflet to this e-mail if any of your members would like to submit some images for the exhibition.

All the works exhibited will be offered for sale, Exhibition Opening Sunday 11th.July

Summer Agenda

Summer Outings Agenda.


Tuesday night outings (in place of meetings)

29th June –Carrick, meeting at 7.30pm Carraig.

13th July.---Tramore, meeting car park boating lake 7.30pm

27th July.----Glencomeragh, meeting car park Glencomeragh at 7.30pm.

10th August.---Tullaought/ Slate Quarries.

All these outings are on Tuesday nights.


The following outings are taking place on Saturdays.

Sat. 17th July.          Kilfeene Glen and Waterfall Thomastown..

Sat. 7th Aug          Ardmore (meeting at round Tower at 10.30am.

Images from the Clancy Festival Exhibition

Here are a few images courtesy of Joe Cashin taken at the opening of the clubs photo exhibition for the Clancy Festival, the event was very kindly opened by Peg Power (nee Clancy) sister of the Clancy brothers.
For anyone who missed the event a large portion of the images will be on display for the remainder of the summer in the Carrigbeg Arts Centre (Former Friary Church).

Carrick Camera Club Exhibition

This is an invite to all of your members to feel free to come and view the Carrick Camera Club exhibition which will take place from Wednesday 9th June - Sun 13th June in the strand theatre in Carrick.
The opening times are 11am-1pm, 2pm-4pm, 6.30pm-9.30pm Thursday Friday & Saturday, and Sunday 11am-1pm and 2pm-5.30pm.
Also the exhibition will then be moved to the Old Friary Church in Carrickbeg (opposite side of the river) where it will run until end of August, the opening time in the Friary will be 10am-1pm and 2pm-4pm Tuesday - Friday

The RHA Exhibition (Royal Hibernian Academy), Dublin, is now open, and consists of a HUGE number of paintings, sculpture and some photography.  Highly recommended.  I spent 2.5 hours there Saturday.

IPF Yearbook.

The closing date for submitting images for Photography Ireland 2011 is fast approaching. 

Photographers may submit up to five images in colour, and five in monochrome preferably be submitted on a CD or DVD as 300 dpi actual size TIFF or high quality JPG images suitable for printing up to A4 size.  Colour corrections should be made and each image accompanied by a small print (minimum size 10 cm X 15 cm) to aid selection.  There is no submission/entry fee.

A completed copy of the Entry Form should be taped to the back of each print.  See the IPF Downloads Page/Forms for the entry form or click on the link above.

All CDs, DVDs, and photographs will be retained by the IPF and will not be returned to photographers.  Each photographer will retain copyright of their images.  Submission of entries does not guarantee inclusion in the yearbook.

CD/DVD and photographs for the yearbook should be packed and labelled 'IPF Yearbook' and sent before 1st June 2010 to:
